DAY6 Jakarta Concert Moves to New Venue – Here’s What Happened and How Fans Reacted

Jakarta, Indonesia – The highly-anticipated DAY6 3rd World Tour: Forever Young concert in Jakarta is still on—just not where fans originally expected.

On March 21, 2025, concert promoter Mecima Pro announced that the May 3rd show would be relocated from the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) to the Stadion Madya Gelora Bung Karno (GBK). The sudden change came as a surprise to many, especially considering that the initial venue had a significantly larger capacity.

Why the Change?

The reason behind the move? A scheduling conflict with a Liga 1 football match between Persija Jakarta and Semen Padang FC set for April 27 at JIS. According to JakPro (the management of JIS), preparing the stadium for a major concert requires more than a week—making it impossible to get everything ready in time after the match.

What Happens to Tickets?

Mecima Pro has assured fans that all tickets remain valid, and they’ve gone the extra mile to offer shuttle buses for fans who had already booked accommodations near JIS. Refunds and ticket upgrades are also available for those who need it.

Mixed Reactions from My Day

While some fans appreciated the transparency and quick solutions, many My Day (as DAY6 fans are known) voiced their frustration online. The new venue—though iconic—is much smaller, and fans are calling the move a "downgrade." A group of fans even sent an open letter to JYP Entertainment demanding better planning and communication in the future.

“It’s not just about the concert; it’s the whole experience we’ve been planning for months,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Show Must Go On

Despite the uproar, excitement is still running high. Indonesian My Days are known for their passionate support, and many are still gearing up for an unforgettable night with Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon.

So, while the venue might be different, one thing’s for sure—the love for DAY6 hasn’t changed.
